MBSR is an evidence-based program that has been researched for over 40 years and has consistently delivered positive outcomes in reducing stress, anxiety, depression and chronic stress. It has also been found to be instrumental in improving emotional regulation, interpersonal relations and increased well-being.
This free community class is being offered by Ana DeVault. Ana will invite participants to try three different ways to practice mindfulness and allowing themselves "to be as they already are."
Ana was born and raised in Mexico City and has resided in Virginia since 2010. Ana holds a Master's Degree in Psychology and has 15 years of experience in counseling and education. She has practiced mindfulness for 5 years and is currently training to become an MBSR instructor.
